The U.P. is practically it's own country, almost part of Canada. It's totally different up there...
All us lower-P folks call it "up north" - and when they refer to us it's "down state"

I liked that Ann Arbor place though, even though i couldn't find any toy stores there...

I've been to my dad's hometown (Hancock, it's WAAAAAY up dere) once. My cousin and I went and shot rats at the quary with 22's. I should mention that he was 8 and I was 6 and when he asked his parents for the gun they didn't hesitate giving it to him. It was, to say the least, eye opening! [img]eek.gif[/img]
The white necks come down here about once a year and I always get a kick out of my uncle. Not only does he have a THICK yooper accent, he also studders like mad so it's damn near IMPOSSIBLE to make out a thing he's saying!! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
